HDTV - What is it?
HDTV or High Definition TV is a subset of the Digital Television (DTV)
standards currently being deployed around the world by broadcasters, and
relates to video picture format and resolution. The HDTV standards defined
to be progressive or interlaced, with resolution of 1080 or 720 active
picture lines, and frame/field rates of 24,25,30,50 and 60. This is summarized
